Sourcing PPE and workwear in France
A distributor-held market where the catalogue price is never the price.
The French PPE market is concentrated among a handful of national distributors with very broad catalogues. Their strength is availability; their weakness is that the listed price is only a starting point for a negotiation most buyers never run. Across an annual portfolio of workwear and safety footwear, the gap between catalogue rate and post-tender rate regularly exceeds twenty per cent.
The other French lever is industrial: the Vosges, the North and the Lyon region still hold technical-textile and workwear manufacturers able to produce private label from modest volumes. Going back to the manufacturer rather than the distributor changes the cost structure — provided you accept production runs and lead times instead of stock.
One administrative point not to miss: above a certain contract value, your supplier’s URSSAF compliance certificate is mandatory and renews every six months. For printing and personalisation work, subcontracted in nine cases out of ten, the obligation extends to the subcontractor too.

Services
What we take off your hands
Supplier sourcing & identification
You describe the need, we come back with 3 to 5 qualified, capable and available suppliers — not a 200-name directory.
RFQ & tender management
We write the RFQ, run it across the panel, chase the answers, and hand you a comparison grid where the bids are finally comparable.
Supplier audit & qualification
Documentary, financial and on-site verification before you commit. A failing supplier always costs more than the audit that would have ruled them out.
Negotiation & contracting
Negotiation is won before the meeting: a decomposed cost structure, credible alternatives, and a contract that holds when things go wrong.
Quality control & production follow-up
First article approved, in-line checks during the run, pre-shipment inspection. Defects get handled at the supplier, not on your dock.
Logistics, import & customs
Incoterm selection, freight organisation, customs paperwork and EU VAT handling. The landed price, not the ex-works price.
